Ingredients

  • 2 quarts filtered water
  • 6 tea bags (preferably Luzianne)
  • 12 cups seeded watermelon chunks
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sweet tea base by combining sugar and water in a large saucepan. Boil until the sugar dissolves, then steep the tea bags for 15 minutes.
  2. Blend watermelon chunks with lime juice until smooth, then strain into a gallon pitcher.
  3. Remove tea bags and combine brewed tea with watermelon puree. Stir well and chill.
  4. Serve over ice, garnished with fresh mint if desired.
