  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes (14.5 oz each)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cans kidney beans (15 oz each), drained and rinsed
  • 1 can pinto beans (15 oz), drained and rinsed
  • 23 tbsp chili powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Dice the onion and green bell pepper, and mince the garlic.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground meat for about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic; sauté until softened (about 3–4 minutes).
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, beans, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 30–40 minutes.
