  • 1 pound Spicy Italian sausage (cooked and drained)
  • 12 ounces Cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 ¾ cups Freshly grated Mozzarella Cheese (divided)
  • ½ cup Freshly shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes (drained)
  • ¾ cup Pepperoncinis (drained and diced)
  • Italian seasoning to taste
  • Garlic powder to taste
  • Red pepper flakes to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sausage until browned. Drain excess grease and let cool.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked sausage, cream cheese, ¾ cup mozzarella, Parmesan, diced tomatoes, Pepperoncinis, seasonings, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Spread mixture into the baking dish and top with remaining mozzarella.
  5. Bake for about 20 minutes until bubbly. For added browning, broil for the last few minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.
