Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sourdough discard
- 3/4 cup water
- 3 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup)
- 6 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Filling: 3 tablespoons melted butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the filling. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Add honey, melted butter, water, and sourdough discard to the dry ingredients; stir until combined.
- Knead the dough for about five minutes until soft.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the cinnamon filling evenly over it.
- Roll the dough tightly from one long side and cut into twelve equal pieces.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish or skillet and bake for 25–35 minutes until golden brown.
