  • 1 1/4 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 15-oz. can tomato sauce
  • 8 oz. egg noodles
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1 1/4 c. small curd cottage cheese
  • 1 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground chuck over medium heat until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce, salt, and pepper; let simmer.
  4. Cook the egg noodles in boiling water until al dente; drain.
  5. In a bowl, mix sour cream and cottage cheese; combine with drained noodles and green onions.
  6. Layer half of the noodle mixture in a baking dish, followed by half of the meat sauce and half of the cheddar cheese. Repeat layers.
  7. Bake for about 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
