  • 2 packs udon noodles
  • 200 g fresh beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 white onion, sliced
  • Chinese cabbage (or any leafy green)
  • Garlic
  • Soy sauce
  • Dark soy sauce
  • Oyster sauce
  • Ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef by mixing minced garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, oyster sauce, vinegar, and cornstarch slurry in a bowl. Coat the beef and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Cook udon noodles in boiling water for 1-2 minutes until slightly tender. Drain and set aside.
  3. For the sauce, combine leftover marinade with dark soy sauce, ground black pepper, water, and potato starch.
  4. Heat a wok over medium heat and stir-fry garlic and onions until soft. Add marinated beef and cook until browned; then pour in the sauce and cook until thickened.
  5. Toss in cooked udon noodles and Chinese cabbage until well-coated before serving.
