Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, pulse the raw shrimp until coarsely chopped. Transfer to a mixing bowl.
  2. Add panko breadcrumbs, beaten egg, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
  3. Wet your hands slightly and shape the mixture into small balls (about 2 tablespoons each). If desired, roll in cornstarch for better binding.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat (about 2 inches deep). Fry shrimp balls until golden brown on all sides (5–7 minutes). Drain on paper towels before serving.
