  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium-high heat, cook the ground sausage and diced onion until the sausage is browned and the onions are soft. Drain excess grease.
  2. Add minced garlic and flour; cook for an additional minute. Stir in the spices.
  3. Gradually pour in chicken broth and heavy cream while scraping the bottom of the pot. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to simmer.
  4. Stir in kale and tortellini; simmer for about 3-5 minutes until heated through.
  5. Season with salt to taste before serving.
