  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 6 strips cooked bacon
  • 4 slices Texas toast
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Brush halved jalapeños with olive oil and roast cut-side down for about 15 minutes until charred.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine room-temperature cream cheese with garlic salt, black pepper, and onion powder.
  4. Chop roasted jalapeños and fold into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Butter one side of each slice of bread. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture on the unbuttered side, top with bacon and cheddar, then another slice of bread.
