  • 2½ to 3 pounds baby back ribs
  • â…“ cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 2½ teaspoons fresh cracked black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Combine brown sugars, onion powder, salt, paprika, black pepper, ground mustard, cumin, cayenne pepper, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  3. Remove the membrane from the ribs and place them on heavy-duty aluminum foil.
  4. Apply the dry rub generously on both sides of the ribs.
  5. Wrap the ribs tightly in foil and bake for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  6. Mix barbecue sauce with additional brown sugar; spread over baked ribs.
  7. Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes until caramelized.
