- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9×5 loaf pans.
- In one bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and pumpkin pie spice.
- In another bowl, mix canned pumpkin, brown sugar, granulated sugar, applesauce (or oil), eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; do not overmix.
- Fold in chocolate chips and divide batter between the prepared pans.
- Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
