- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1/2 cup water
- 5 ounces shredded provolone cheese
- 8 sandwich buns
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add chopped onions and bell peppers; cook until tender-crisp (about 2-3 minutes) before transferring to a plate.
- In the same skillet, heat remaining olive oil and brown ground sirloin with chili, garlic, and onion powders. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in beef bouillon base and tomato paste; return vegetables to the skillet.
- Add water and bring to a boil; then lower heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until thickened.
