  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 cup reduced sodium beef broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 diced green pepper
  • 1 diced onion
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • Hamburger buns (6)
  • Dijon mustard
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • red pepper flakes
  • salt

  • parsley
  • basil
  • paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Cut hamburger buns in half and spread mayo or butter on the cut sides. Bake for about 5 minutes until golden.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook ground beef with diced onion and green pepper until browned (about 5 minutes). Add garlic and sauté for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Combine beef broth with cornstarch and beef bouillon; stir into skillet.
  5. Add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and remaining seasonings. Cook for another 5 to 7 minutes until combined.
  6. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the mixture until melted.
  7. Spoon mixture onto toasted buns and top with provolone cheese slices. Return to the oven for about 10 minutes until bubbly.
