- 10 oz. mushrooms (button or baby bella)
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 ½ cups beef broth
- ½ cup dry white wine
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Clean and slice the mushrooms. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Cook the seasoned chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown, then set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and add mushrooms; cook until browned. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms; stir well. Gradually add beef broth while whisking to avoid lumps.
- Add bouillon, soy sauce, onion powder, mustard powder, thyme, and white wine; mix thoroughly.
- Bring to a simmer, then stir in cornstarch mixed with water and heavy cream until thickened.
- Return chicken to skillet; spoon sauce over it and simmer for about 5 minutes before serving.
