- 1 egg yolk
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 pkg (8 oz.) cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup sugar (for frosting)

Instructions
- In a stand mixer, combine softened butter and sugar; beat until creamy, about 2 minutes.
- Add the whole egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract; mix until fully incorporated.
- In another bowl, sift together flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Wrap the dough in saran wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Roll out chilled dough to about 1/2 inch thick and cut into desired shapes.
- Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 9-10 minutes until set and lightly browned.
- Beat cream cheese with sugar and vanilla until smooth; spread over cooled cookies and top with fresh fruit.
