- 4 oz softened cream cheese
- 2 diced jalapeños (seeds removed)

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1½ – 2 cups breadcrumbs
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine shredded pepper jack cheese, cream cheese, diced jalapeños, and green onions until well blended.
- Roll the mixture into small balls (about one inch in diameter) and place on a baking sheet.
- Chill the formed balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Set up a dredging station: one dish with flour, another with whisked egg and buttermilk, and a third with seasoned breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each ball in flour, dip in the egg mixture, coat with breadcrumbs, then repeat for extra crunch.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry balls until golden brown (about 4-6 at a time).
- Drain excess oil on paper towels before serving warm.
