  • 1 1/2 lb chuck roast or flank steak (sliced into thin strips)
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 pound broccoli (cut into florets)
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Set the Instant Pot to 'Saute' and heat the canola oil.
  2. Add the sliced beef in batches, browning on all sides.
  3. Stir in beef broth, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil until dissolved.
  4. Lock the lid and cook at high pressure for 10 minutes.
  5. Perform a quick release once cooking is complete.
  6. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry; stir into the beef mixture until smooth.
  7. Select 'Saute' again, add broccoli florets, and close the lid.
  8. Cook for about 3 minutes until broccoli is tender.
