Ingredients
- 1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
- 2⅔ cups unsalted chicken broth
- 6 Tbsp butter
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- Juice and zest of ½ lemon
- Fresh parsley and chives (for garnish)
- 1 cube chicken bouillon
- 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1 Tbsp fresh chives
- ¼ tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425ºF and spray a 9×9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- In the prepared dish, combine the rinsed rice, chicken broth, butter, minced garlic, lemon juice and zest, Dijon mustard, paprika, cayenne pepper, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and stir the rice gently. Bake uncovered for an additional 20 to 30 minutes until fully cooked.
- Let sit covered for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley and chives.
