Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line cupcake trays with liners.
- Cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one by one, mixing in vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in milk alternating with sifted flour mixed with baking powder and salt until just combined.
- Divide batter into three parts: add red gelatin to one part, blue to another, leaving the last plain.
- Layer each color in cupcake liners: red on the bottom, followed by white, then blue.
- Bake for approximately 18 minutes; cool completely before frosting.
- Beat together frosting ingredients until smooth; decorate cooled cupcakes with frosting and colored icing gel.
