  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 45 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef or chicken broth
  • 1 can corn (15 oz), drained
  • 1 can black beans (15 oz), drained and rinsed
  • 1 can chili beans in chili sauce (15 oz)
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 1 can chopped green chiles (4 oz)
  • Spices: chili powder, cumin, oregano, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until the onion becomes translucent (3–5 minutes).
  3. Stir in broth, corn, black beans, chili beans, crushed tomatoes, green chiles, and spices. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low and let simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes.
