With minimal prep time and simple ingredients, this elegant dish is both impressive and easy to make.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 boneless ribeye steak (1″ – 1/2″ thick)
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 Boursin cheese (garlic & herb flavor)
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • ½ tablespoon creamed horseradish
  • 1 baguette (sliced into 1/2”-thick slices)
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • Balsamic glaze (for drizzling)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Season the ribeye steak with kosher salt and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for about 4 minutes on each side until desired doneness.
  3. Allow the steak to rest before slicing thinly against the grain.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine Boursin cheese, creamed horseradish, and water until smooth; adjust consistency as needed.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and bake for about 5–7 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Assemble crostinis by spreading horseradish sauce on each slice, topping with sliced steak, drizzling with balsamic glaze, and garnishing with chives.
