  • 1415 oz canned salmon (well drained) or cooked fresh salmon
  • 1 medium yellow onion (finely diced)
  • 1/2 red bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 large egg (lightly beaten)
  • 1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil (divided)
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter (divided)
  • 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Seasonings: garlic salt, black pepper, parsley

Instructions

  1. Sauté diced onion and bell pepper in a skillet with 1 Tbsp olive oil and 1 Tbsp butter over medium heat for about 7–9 minutes until golden.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flaked salmon, sautéed vegetables, Panko, beaten egg, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into patties about 2 inches wide and 1/3 to 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Heat remaining oil and butter in the skillet over medium heat. Add patties in a single layer and cook for about 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
