- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ pound sweet Italian sausage
- 48 ounces spaghetti sauce
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 12 no-boil lasagna noodles
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
- ¼ cup water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350ºF and prepare a 9×13 casserole dish with cooking spray.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat. Drain excess fat, add minced garlic and spaghetti sauce, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 2 cups mozzarella cheese, eggs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
- Spread some meat sauce on the bottom of the baking pan. Layer three noodles on top followed by one-third of the cheese mixture and one-quarter of the meat sauce. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
- Top with remaining noodles, sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese; add water if needed.
- Cover tightly with aluminum foil (sprayed side down) and bake for 50 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
- Let cool for about 10 minutes before slicing to serve.
