- 4 tbsp soy sauce (divided)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (divided)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (divided)
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Optional: 1 tsp grated ginger
Instructions
- Marinate the beef with 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp cornstarch, rice vinegar, and sesame oil for at least 15 minutes.
- Whisk together remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, cornstarch, and water in a bowl.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet over high heat; cook marinated beef until browned (about 3 minutes), then set aside.
- In the same skillet, add remaining oil and stir-fry the bell peppers and onion for 3–4 minutes; add garlic and ginger for another 30 seconds.
- Return the beef to the skillet, pour in the sauce mixture, and cook until thickened (about 3 minutes).
