  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Flour for dredging
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced fairly thin)
  • 1 large clove garlic (minced)
  • 3/4 cup marsala wine
  • 1/2 cup heavy/whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create four cutlets. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then coat each piece in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken cutlets for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and mushrooms; sauté until browned (about 3–5 minutes).
  4. Add minced garlic and pour in marsala wine; simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, return chicken to the skillet, and cook for another 4–5 minutes until fully cooked.
