  • 6 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (or vegetarian stir fry sauce)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1.5 tbsp shaoxing wine (or Dry Sherry)
  • 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1.5 tsp cornstarch
  • 3/4 tsp sugar
  • 3/4 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the broccoli by washing and straining the florets thoroughly.
  2. In a small bowl, mix minced garlic, oyster sauce, soy sauce, shaoxing wine, sesame oil, cornstarch, sugar, and cold water until well combined.
  3. Bring a pot of water to boil in a wok or large pan and blanch the broccoli for 2-3 minutes until crisp-tender.
  4. Strain the broccoli and transfer it to a serving plate.
  5. In the same wok, heat the prepared sauce over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes until thickened.
  6. Pour the sauce over the blanched broccoli, tossing gently to coat evenly.
