  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 ½ pounds brown mushrooms (sliced)

  • ½ cup Marsala wine
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium-high heat, melt butter with oil. Sauté diced onions for 2-3 minutes until softened; add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  2. Stir in sliced mushrooms and thyme; cook until mushrooms soften (about 5 minutes). Add Marsala wine and simmer for an additional 3 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle flour over the mixture, stirring well; cook for 2 minutes before adding chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and season with salt, pepper, and crumbled bouillon cubes.
  4. Cover and simmer for 10–15 minutes until thickened.
  5. Reduce heat to low; gently stir in heavy cream. Adjust seasonings if needed.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley and thyme.
