  • 8 oz dark chocolate melting wafers
  • 16 strawberries, washed and dried
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 tbsp Hershey’s Special Dark Cocoa powder
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup salted butter (room temperature)
  • Powdered sugar for frosting

Instructions

  1. Melt dark chocolate wafers and dip strawberries; let cool.
  2. Preheat oven to 300°F (148°C). Mix dry ingredients in one bowl and wet ingredients in another. Combine both.
  3. Gradually add hot water until batter is thin; fill cupcake liners halfway.
  4. Bake for 18-23 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. For frosting, puree chopped strawberries, then beat with butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Frost cooled cupcakes and top with chocolate-covered strawberries.
