  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 7-ounce container plain Greek yogurt
  • 15-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken: Mix yogurt, 1 tablespoon garam masala, lemon juice, black pepper, and ground ginger in a bowl. Add chicken chunks and coat well. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Sear the chicken: Heat a nonstick pan over high heat and sear half of the marinated chicken until golden brown. Repeat with remaining chicken.
  3. Simmer sauce: In the same pan, combine tomato sauce, heavy cream, garlic, and remaining garam masala. Bring to a simmer and add seared chicken. Cook for about 20 minutes until thickened.
