  • ½ cup flour
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese (finely grated)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • 4 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons capers (drained)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Flatten chicken breasts to about 1 inch thickness using a meat mallet. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, Parmesan cheese, and garlic powder. Dredge the chicken breasts in the mixture.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add butter and garlic; sauté briefly. Pour in white wine, scraping up browned bits, then reduce by half.
  5. Stir in capers, chicken broth, and lemon juice; simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Whisk in cold butter until smooth; return chicken to the skillet to coat with sauce.
  7. Serve garnished with fresh parsley.
