  • 3 to 4 cups rotisserie chicken (shredded)
  • 8 cups water
  • 4 tablespoons Better than Bouillon Chicken
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 4 carrots (diced)
  • 4 celery stalks (diced)
  • 2 small yellow onions (diced)
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ⅔ cup milk

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté onions, carrots, and celery until softened.
  2. Add water and Better than Bouillon Chicken; stir well and bring to a simmer.
  3. Stir in shredded chicken and cook for about 10 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour and milk; whisk until smooth then gradually stir into the broth to thicken.
  5. In another bowl, mix Bisquick with seasonings and milk to form a soft dough.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dumpling dough into the simmering broth. Cover tightly and cook on low heat for about 15 minutes without lifting the lid.
  7. Serve hot in bowls.
