Ingredients
- 13 ounces refrigerated pizza dough
- 6–7 mozzarella cheese sticks
- 1 large egg (for egg wash)
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Fresh herbs (parsley, rosemary, basil)
- 1 clove garlic (grated)
- Marinara and/or pesto (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the pizza dough into approximately 30 squares and slice mozzarella sticks into bite-sized pieces.
- Place one piece of mozzarella in each dough square, roll into balls, and arrange them on the baking sheet in a tree shape.
- Whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash; brush over each dough ball.
- Bake for 16-18 minutes until golden brown. Mix melted butter with half of the parmesan, garlic, and herbs; brush this mixture over the baked rolls before sprinkling remaining cheese.
