Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 firm apples (such as Honeycrisp)
  • 4 Tbsp melted butter
  • 1 Tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 8 chewy caramel squares
  • Vanilla ice cream (for serving)
  • Caramel sauce (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F or air fryer to 350°F.
  2. Slice the tops off the apples and use an apple corer to remove the cores, ensuring not to cut through the bottom. Make thin crosswise slices on each apple without cutting all the way through.
  3. Stuff each apple with two caramel squares and brush the melted butter mixture made from butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon over the tops.
  4. Place the apples in a greased baking dish and bake for about 30 minutes or air fry for around 20 minutes until tender.
  5. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream on top and drizzle with caramel sauce.
