  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • Cream cheese for frosting

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk with one teaspoon of sugar; let sit until frothy (about 10 minutes).
  2. Add remaining sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs to the yeast mixture. Gradually mix in flour until soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth. Place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
  4. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon for filling; roll out dough into a rectangle, brush with melted butter, sprinkle cinnamon mixture, and add blueberries.
  5. Roll tightly and cut into 12 pieces; place in a greased baking dish and let rise again (about 30 minutes).
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. For frosting, whisk together cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth; spread over warm rolls before serving.
