- 4 to 6 cups broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 1 to 2 teaspoons ginger, to taste (use less if dried)
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 to 3 green onions, sliced into 1/4-inch segments
- red pepper flakes, to taste (optional)

Instructions
- Coat sliced flank steak with cornstarch in a zip-top bag; set aside.
- In a saucepan, heat olive and sesame oil, add garlic and ginger, then stir in soy sauce, water, and brown sugar. Bring to boil and simmer until thickened.
- In a skillet, heat remaining oil; cook steak until browned, about 5–7 minutes.
- Add broccoli and sauce mixture; toss to coat. Simmer until broccoli is tender-crisp.
- Stir in green onions and serve garnished with sesame seeds.
