Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin or tenderloin, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients by chopping onions, mincing garlic, and slicing mushrooms.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil or butter. Cook seasoned beef strips until browned (5–7 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté onions and garlic in the same skillet until translucent (about 3 minutes), then add mushrooms until tender (5 minutes).
  4. Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard; simmer. Add cooked beef back into the skillet.
  5. Once heated through (do not boil), stir in sour cream until well combined; adjust seasoning.
  6. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain.
  7. Combine cooked noodles with stroganoff sauce in the skillet; serve hot.
