Celebrate Independence Day with these vibrant and delightful 4th of July Rice Krispie Treats! These no-bake treats are a perfect combination of gooey marshmallows and crispy rice cereal, layered in festive red, white, and blue. Easy to make and fun for the whole family, they are sure to be a hit at your summer gatherings. Ingredients

Scale
  • 30 oz marshmallows (divided into 3 bowls)
  • 18 cups puffed rice cereal (divided into 3 bowls)
  • 9 oz unsalted butter (divided into thirds)
  • Red & blue food coloring

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13 baking dish and set aside.
  2. For the red layer, melt 3 oz of butter in a large saucepan. Add 10 oz of marshmallows and stir until smooth. Mix in red food coloring and combine with puffed rice cereal. Press into the prepared pan.
  3. For the white layer, repeat the melting process without food coloring. Layer this mixture on top of the red layer.
  4. For the blue layer, melt another 3 oz of butter, add 10 oz of marshmallows and blue food coloring. Combine with cereal and press over the white layer.
  5. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
